Términos de Uso

Fecha de entrada en vigor: 26 de agosto de 2026

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before joining the Bowli beta waitlist or using the Bowli website and iOS app. Bowli is operated by Alberto Aquino in Ireland. By accessing or using Bowli, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Bowli.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into an agreement to use Bowli. By using Bowli, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

2. What Bowli provides

Bowli helps you record food, understand calories and macronutrients, calculate personal targets, and adjust your eating plan when life changes. Some features are in beta and may be incomplete, changed, or discontinued as the product develops.

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee admission to a beta, a specific launch date, or access to any particular feature. You can unsubscribe from product updates at any time.

3. Nutrition information is not medical advice

Bowli provides general nutrition information and estimates. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Calorie and macro targets are calculated from the information you enter and cannot account for every individual health factor.

Do not rely on Bowli for an emergency, allergy decision, or treatment of a medical condition or eating disorder. Consult a qualified doctor or registered dietitian before making significant dietary changes, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, under medical supervision, or have a condition affected by diet. If tracking food causes distress or feels harmful, stop using the app and seek appropriate support.

4. Accounts and security

  • You must provide accurate account and profile information.
  • You are responsible for protecting your device, credentials, and account activity.
  • You may not share an account in a way that compromises another person's privacy or use an identity that you are not authorised to use.
  • Contact alberto.aquino.dev@gmail.com promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Your information and local data

You retain ownership of information you enter into Bowli. You give us a limited permission to process account and profile information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

In the current Free experience, day-to-day food history is stored on your device. You are responsible for maintaining any exports or backups you need. Deleting the app, erasing the device, changing backup settings, or losing access to the device may result in permanent data loss.

6. Food data and estimates

Nutrition values may come from public databases, food labels, user input, or calculations. Foods vary by brand, preparation, portion, and data source, so values may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You are responsible for checking important information against packaging or professional guidance, particularly for allergens and medical needs.

Bowli does not guarantee a particular health, weight, body composition, or performance outcome. Results depend on many factors outside the app's control.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Bowli in violation of law or another person's rights.
  • Attempt to access another user's account, private data, or Bowli systems without authorisation.
  • Probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or circumvent the service or its security, except where applicable law expressly allows it.
  • Use automated requests, malicious code, or deceptive activity that harms Bowli, its providers, or other users.
  • Resell or sublicense Bowli without written permission.

8. Licence and intellectual property

Bowli, including its software, design, branding, and original content, is protected by intellectual property law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Bowli for your own lawful purposes.

If you obtain Bowli through Apple's App Store, Apple's applicable usage rules and Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also apply. Apple is not responsible for providing Bowli support unless applicable law or Apple's terms say otherwise.

9. Paid features

Bowli does not currently sell paid access through this website. If paid features are introduced, the price, billing period, renewal terms, and available cancellation method will be shown before purchase. Purchases made through Apple are billed and managed by Apple under your App Store account terms. Any statutory cancellation or refund rights remain unaffected.

10. Third-party services

Bowli relies on services such as Apple, Google, Supabase, Cloudflare, Vercel, and USDA FoodData Central. Their services, content, availability, and privacy practices are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond what applicable law requires.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep Bowli reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may update, suspend, or remove features for maintenance, security, legal, or product reasons. Where reasonable, we will give notice before a material change that adversely affects users.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Bowli at any time and may request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, security risk, unlawful activity, or legal requirement. Data is then handled according to the Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Bowli is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that every calculation, food record, recommendation, or feature will be accurate or suitable for your circumstances.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, Bowli. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory consumer rights.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Irish law. If you are a consumer, you also retain any mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a dispute in good faith. Any dispute may be brought before the courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Bowli develops or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised Terms with a new effective date and give appropriate advance notice of material changes. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you should stop using Bowli.
